How to Convert a Large Word Document Into a PDF File
A large Word document can be converted into a PDF file in a variety of ways. If you're working on a Mac, utilize the built-in "Print to PDF" feature; if on a PC, utilize the "Save as PDF" feature, so long as you have Adobe Acrobat installed. Alternatively, you can use an online PDF converter such as the one found at FreePDFconvert.com to convert a large Word document into a PDF file.

On a Mac

Open Word and load the large Word document you would like to convert into a PDF file.

Click "File" located in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and choose "Print."

Click the "PDF" button from the Print menu.

Click "Save as PDF." Then name the PDF file, click "Save" and the large Word document will be converted into a PDF file and saved on your computer's hard drive.
On a PC

Open Word and load the large Word document you would like to convert into a PDF file.

Click the Microsoft Office button located in the upper left-hand side of the program.

Click "Save as PDF." You must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer in order for this option to be visible (see link in Resources for more information on Acrobat). Then name the PDF file, click "Publish" and the large Word document will be converted into a PDF file and saved on your computer's hard drive.

Navigate to FreePDFconvert.com (see Resources for link).

Click "Choose File" and select the large Word document that you would like to convert to PDF.

Click "Open" to upload this file to the website. Then enter your email address under the "Email Address" section.

Select the "Attach files to e-mail" box and then click "Convert Your File." Your large Word document will be converted into a PDF file and then emailed to the email address that you submitted.
