How to Fix Userenv Errors in Windows XP
A "userenv" error may appear on your Windows XP system after upgrading to Internet Explorer 8 and then uninstalling the program. A key that is left in the Windows registry will produce a "userenv" error if Windows XP can't find the userenv.dll file on the system. You can fix this type of error by removing the offending key from the Windows Registry or re-registering the userenv.dll file.
