- Propane
- Water
- Aromatic wood chips (mesquite or other)
- Meat
- Knife

Connect the smoker with the propane tank. The smoker's valve should screw or snap into the propane tank's hose. The propane tank must not be in contact with the smoker; otherwise, the smoker might heat the tank up and cause problems.

Fill the smoker, placing the wood chips into the correct pan,and filling the water pan. Optionally, add spices into the water pan, which will contribute flavor to the finished project.

Trim all fat off the meat with a knife and rub the meat with seasonings or salt.

Adjust the flame on the burner. Using the burner, you can control the temperature, and how long it will take to cook the meat. Different recipes call for different temperatures and different cooking times. Let the smoker cook the meat.

Add more wood chips, if desired. This should be done if cooking for a long time. Unless you're refilling the pan, do not open the door to the smoker until the meat is done cooking.
