Make a plan of the content and look of your site. Before you begin construction of your website, ask yourself if you wish to include many pictures, videos or texts and what kind of background would best reflect the content of your website.

Open your web browser and search for Wix, Jimdo or Weebly. (See Resources.) Choose whichever one appeals to you.

Choose a name for your site. Your website name will be part of site address, which you may change at a later time if you eventually come up with a different name.

Verify that the options you are choosing for your site are free. Some sites will charge you for extra options such as having your own domain name, extra storage space or faster support.

Choose a theme and different elements for your site depending on the options presented to you from the site builder. Some sites offer you the option to click on a picture of a certain theme in order to see what the final product will look like. Elements that you can choose to add include links to YouTube, photos, a Google search box and the option to upload pdf files or audio files.

Click on the Create site or Register button once you have specified all options such as who can visit your site (you can choose to only allow people you know or give access to all users) or if there is to be adult content.
