How to Create Gift Certificates & Coupons
If you want to give a unique gift to a friend or loved one, consider making a set of handmade certificates or coupons. The certificates or coupons can be personalized with the gift recipient's name and a specific gift, errand or chore that can be redeemed by turning in the certificate or coupon to you. Consider making several certificates or coupons and stapling them together into a booklet.
Things You'll Need
- Sheets of card stock (8.5 X 11 and color of your choice)

3
Write out the words "Mike's Gift Coupons!" or "Mary's Gift Certificates!" across the top of the coupon, using your recipient's name.
-
4
Write out exactly the gift, errand or chore for which the coupon can be redeemed. For example, you may write the following: "This gift coupon can be redeemed for one hour of cleaning the house." or "This gift certificate can be exchanged for one home-cooked meal."
-
5
Decorate the white space on your coupon with stickers or artwork related to the coupon's value or your recipient's personality.
-
6
Stack your coupons in a pile. Use a stapler to secure them together by placing a stapler in the middle of the left vertical edge.
