How to Replace the Toner for a Sharp AR-335 Copier
Prior to the toner supply in the Sharp AR-335 becoming completely empty, copies become lighter and the message "Toner Supply Is Low" appears in the display. Toner may be added at any time after the message "Toner Supply Is Low" appears. If the situation is ignored, the toner supply will empty completely, and the message "Add Toner" will appear in the display. When the toner-collecting container becomes full, the message "Replace Used Toner Container" appears in the display. Until you install a new container, the copier will not operate. Use the "Information" key for detailed information when any of these messages appears.

Adding Toner

Open the front cover of the AR-335. Pull down on the toner hopper lock lever and slowly pull the toner hopper out until it stops. Tap five times on the toner cartridge.

Hold the new cartridge vertically and shake 20 times to loosen the toner to allow it to flow easily into the toner hopper. Invert the cartridge and shake again 20 times.

Place the new cartridge, with the tabs in the notches, over the hopper and slide it along the guides.

Hold the cartridge with one hand and pull on the sealing tape to remove.

Tap the top of the cartridge five times. Allow 50 seconds for the cartridge to empty. If it is still not empty, tap on the cartridge again until it's empty.

Slide the empty cartridge back along the guides to remove it.

Slide the toner hopper back into the copier. Push the toner hopper lock lever back into place. Close the front cover of the AR-335.
Disposing of Used Toner

Push once on the door of the toner-collecting container to unlatch it and open the cover.

Disengage the container and remove it from the copier. Use the cap from a new collecting container to cover the full toner-collecting container.

Install a new collecting container until it clicks into place. Close the cover.

Add only one toner cartridge.
Do not reuse toner.
Do not transfer used toner to the hopper.
