Presentations can now be displayed on the web or projected on walls.

Microsoft PowerPoint is productivity software for creating professional presentations and slide shows. This application normally comes packaged with the Microsoft Office suite. PowerPoint slides can contain a variety of data including images, bullet lists of text, tables and graphs. Slides in PowerPoint 2010 even allow you to embed voice-overs and video clips. PowerPoint not only provides an interface for creating presentations, but also allows you to present them from the same application. Presentations can be set to a timed schedule or progressed manually.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Microsoft PowerPoint. Open the presentation you wish to edit.

    • 2

Double-click on a tabbed space and simultaneously hit Control (Ctrl) and C to copy it.

    • 3

Hit the Control (Ctrl) and H keys at the same time to open the "Replace" window.

    • 4

Select the "Find what" text box, hit Control (Ctrl) and V at the same time to paste the tab value, and then type another value into the "Replace with" text box.

    • 5

      Click the "Replace All" button.

    • 6

Click the "Close" button to close the replace window.

Tips & Warnings

  • Microsoft Word recognizes "^t" and "^9" as encoded tabs, but PowerPoint does not. Since PowerPoint doesn't have a way to insert the special characters, you have to copy and paste them from the document.

  • You can replace tabs in string data from within Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) using the following function call: Replace(strMyString, Chr(9), "").
