How to Reboot a Toshiba A-105 Laptop Without the CD

If you reboot a Toshiba A-105 satellite laptop computer with a CD in the disc drive, your computer will boot off of the contents of that disc. If no such CD is present, your Toshiba A-105 will follow its normal procedures and boot off of your hard drive, which will load Windows. Therefore, if you don't have a bootable CD you can still reboot your computer under its normal circumstances using the regular reboot command on your computer.

Instructions

1. Click "Start."

2. Click "Shut Down" from the bottom of the "Start" list.

3. Click the "Restart" button in the "Shut Down" window. This reboots your Toshiba A-105 without the CD, which shuts down your computer, starts it back up and loads Windows.
