How to Hook Up a Non-USB Barcode Scanner to a Computer

While most barcode scanners for a computer come in USB-flavor, you can always use a non-USB barcode scanner on your PC. This is necessary where you have already reached the limit of available USB slots on your computer, precluding connection of a USB scanner without disconnecting one of your other devices. Accomplish this by utilizing a keyboard wedge barcode scanner instead.
