How to Configure My Acer Monitor With My HP Computer

Computer branding for specific computer components is largely irrelevant, as the computer itself does not know whether you are using an HP (Hewlett-Packard) or Acer component in your PC. There is therefore no problem utilizing an Acer monitor with an HP computer. It requires only a simple adjustment of resolution to ensure that the monitor is displaying as intended with the computer.

Instructions

1. Shut down the HP computer.

2. Unscrew the old monitor cable from the back of the computer case.

3. Screw the Acer monitor cable in its place and restart the computer.

4. Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize." Select "Display Settings" and move the resolution slider to the native resolution for the specific Acer monitor as listed in the product manual.
