  1. Moving Files to a New Folder in Windows

      Double-click "My Computer" from the desktop.

      Navigate Windows Explorer to the folder containing the files you want to move.

      Hold down the "CTRL" key and click each file you want to move.

      Release the "CTRL" key and click "Edit," then "Cut" from the Windows Explorer menu bar.

      Navigate Windows Explorer to the location of the new folder.

      Click "Edit," then "Paste" from the Windows Explorer menu bar

    Moving Files to a New Folder on a Macintosh

      Double-click "Macintosh HD" from the desktop.

      Navigate Finder to the folder containing the files to be moved.

      Click "File" in the menu bar and choose "New Finder Window" from the list of options.

      Navigate the new Finder window to the folder to which the files will be moved.

      Select the Finder window showing the files you want to move. Hold down the "Command" key (labeled with an Apple symbol) and select each file to be moved.

      Click and hold down the mouse button on one of the selected files in the first Finder window. Drag the files from their current Finder window into the new one. Release the mouse button to confirm the copy.
