How to Convert Pictures from BMP to JPG

JPG images are of higher quality than BMP images.

JPG (or Jpeg) is the most common file format used for pictures today. If you wish to upload pictures online or send them to friends, they will most likely need to be in JPG format. BMP is a less common picture file format, and it is not usually accepted for online uploading or sharing. However, it is easy to convert BMP pictures to JPG. By using an image converter online, you can convert an image from BMP to JPG in minutes.

  Go to an online image converter such as the one at coolutils.com (See References). Click "Browse" and select the BMP picture you want to convert to JPG.

  Click "Download Converted File" to download the converted picture. Your picture will now be in JPG format.
