How to Open Attachment Files From Emails

Attachments are files sent along with email messages. When a sender wants a file to maintain its original format, he sends it as an attachment. You can download an attached file to your computer and open it using the program it was designed to open with. Attachments can include files such as videos, MP3s, documents and more. Regardless of your email provider, you can open email attachments easily.

Instructions

1. Log on to your email account using your username and password.

2. Select the inbox and open the email containing the attachment you want to view. Click the "Attached" file. When prompted, click "Download" or "Download File" depending on your email provider.

3. Click "Save" or "Save file" to launch the file-saving dialog box. Select the folder to save the file in type a name for the file. Click "Save" to download the attachment to your computer.

4. Locate the attachment from the folder you saved it in and double-click it to open it.
