The Dynex 5-port Ethernet switch allows users to share a network connection across multiple devices without sacrificing bandwidth loss or slowing network traffic. Connect individual computers to the switch, or connect a router behind the switch to share a wireless connection while adding a network printer or other devices to the switch. The 5-port switch provides ports for up to five components to be added to a network.

      Put the Ethernet switch on a stable, flat surface. Choose an area with good airflow to prevent it from overheating.

      Plug the small power connector into the "Power" port on the back of the switch. Plug the other end into a wall outlet. The "Power" LED light will illuminate on the front of the switch.

      Plug the network cable from the router or other network equipment into an open port on the rear of the switch. Connect each individual component of the network into individual slots on the switch.
