How to Convert MPEG4 to Other Formats
MPEG-4 is one of the most common video formats among PC, Mac and Internet users, but may need to be converted to other formats such as MOV, FLV, or AVI to add animation or editing effects. Because of the popularity of MPEG-4s (MP4s), several free websites exist that will convert your videos free of charge. You can try WavyVideos, 2Conv.com, or Online-Convert, among others. Please note that these sites will only convert MP4s that are 100MB or smaller for free.

Open your web browser and visit WavyVideos.com. Locate the Video Conversion Settings window, located on the right side of the screen.

Name your video in the "Video Title" box. Select an output type from a list of options (including FLV, MOV, WMV, MPEG, and more).

Choose a video size (320x240, 640x480, 1280x960), depending on your needs. Click "Next."

Press the "Browse..." button and enter the pop-up window. Locate the MPEG-4 on your hard drive that you want to convert and click "Open."

Follow the prompt for a security test, then click "Upload." Wait for your video to upload and to be redirected to the next screen; this may take several minutes.

Play your video in the player window to preview the quality. Click the "Save" button to download your video in the converted format.

Connect to 2Conv.com and click the "Convert By Upload" tab.

Click the "Browse..." button to enter a Windows Explorer search window. Find the MP4 on your computer you need converted and click "Open." Click "Next" in 2Conv's main screen to begin uploading your video to their server. Depending on the size of your video, this may take several minutes.

Select an output format for your video in the drop-down preset options that appear once uploading is complete.

Enter your e-mail address so 2Conv can alert you when your conversion is done.

Click "Next" to begin the conversion. Wait for your e-mail alert. Open your e-mail and click the download link to retrieve your converted video.

Launch your Internet browser and direct it to Video.Online-Convert.com. Browse the left-hand side of the main screen and click one of the "Convert to..." options (e.g. "Convert to MOV," "Convert to AVI," etc.).

Upload your MP4 video by clicking the "Browse..." button in the middle of the screen. Navgate via the pop-up Windows Explorer screen to your MP4 and double-click its icon to open it.

Look over the "Optional Settings" below the "Browse..." button if you want to change your video's dimensions, or edit your video. Click the "Convert File" button when finished to agree to the terms of use and begin the conversion.

Wait for your video to upload and convert. Track its progress by watching the percentage converted timeline. A download window will appear automatically once conversion is complete. Click "OK" to download your converted video.
