How to Restore Elk Antlers
If you have elk antlers that have become worn or damaged, there are several things that can be done to fix them. You can restore a pair of elk antlers and get them looking great again by using only a few items and following a few steps.
Things You'll Need
- Wood filler
- Putty knife
- Toothpick
- Razor blade
- Sandpaper
- Gel stain
- Small brush
- Rag
- Matte finish

Apply wood filler using your putty knife to any broken tips or scratches on the elk antlers.

Pick away at the filler with a toothpick while it is setting. Make the texture look as natural as possible to match the rest of antlers.

Scrape off excess wood filler using your razor blade before it has set completely.

Sand the area with sandpaper to achieve a smooth, natural look after the wood filler has set completely.
