Instructions

    • 1

Select two items that you want to turn into post earrings. You can use shells, fused glass, old buttons, pieces from a game or toy or any other items that you want to incorporate and then wear as earrings. Usually earrings are identical, but asymmetrical earrings using different, but themed items make an interesting design alternative.

    • 2

Glue multiple parts (if any) together before attaching them to the earring posts. For example, if there are two or more parts to a toy or game piece, glue those parts together before attaching the piece to the earring post.

    • 3

Glue the items to your handmade or commercial post earring findings according to the manufacturer's instructions. For epoxy and some glue you may need to mix two parts. Measure the parts carefully before mixing. Do not touch the earrings until the glue has cured. Allow the glue or epoxy resin to set overnight or according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Tips & Warnings

  • Work in a well-ventilated space when using glue or epoxy.

  • Be aware that certain glues can cause skin irritation or worse. Wear gloves when working with glue or epoxy.
