How to Download Java on iPod Touch

Java is a programming language first released by Sun Microsystems in 1995. Java is commonly used on websites, many of which will not load or display properly unless Java is installed. The iPod Touch is not enabled for Java. This means that websites with Java components you visit using the iPod Touch's native Safari web browser will not work. It is not possible to directly download Java or enable Java on the iPod Touch. However, a free application available through the App Store will allow you to view websites with Java elements.

Tips & Warnings

  • During installation, Cloud Browse asks you to verify that you are 17 years of age or older. The program has no "adult" components. However, the App asks for the age verification because it allows you to view websites that are not compatible with the Safari browser.
