How to Fix Out of Focus Pictures
You know it is there, if only you could see it. That's how it feels when we see pictures that are out of focus. You can give a blurry picture new life by fixing it using some basic image editing techniques. Improving a photograph's focus can bring out its creative value.

Run Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Double-click the picture in the gallery that you would like to edit or open it from the directory on the left-hand pane.

Click "Fix," click "Adjust exposure," then move each slider for "Brightness," Contrast," "Shadows," and "Highlights" until the desired level of clarity is achieved.

Click "Adjust detail" in the same "Fix" pane.

Move the "Sharpen" slider to the right in small increments until the picture is in focus.

Tips & Warnings
If you move the "Brightness" slider to the right and the "Contrast" slider to the left, you will add more sharpness and depth to the picture. Those elements situated near the front in the picture will stand out against a darker background.
Make backup copies of pictures before you edit them. You can later delete those unwanted pictures to save computer space.
