How to Register a Property Online
When you own property, your city, state, and county must know about it. This helps investors know what property is owned and what is not, and it regulates the taxes that are paid on the land. If you need to register a new piece of property, or change information about a certain property's listing with your city, county, or state, you can usually do so online.

1
Contact your county office. Most properties are registered with the county. However, some are registered with the city or with the state. Tell the person who answers the phone what type of property it is: commercial, residential, or industrial. They will tell you if you need to register with the county, or if you register with the city or state. Ask for the website of the correct place to register your property.

2
Go to the website. Click on 'Property Registration," "Register Land," or "Deeds," to register your property.

-
3
Input the information found on the paper property deed. This includes the location, the zoning information, information about any buildings on the property, and your personal information. It will also include tax information, depending on what the property is valued at.
-
4
Click "Submit" to register the property. If there is no submit option, you will need to print out the property registration and send it to the address listed on the page.
