There are many themes that suit a traditional bridal shower. For instance, a lawn-and-garden shower is one in which all the guests bring a gift for the couple's yard or garden. 1. Determine what you want to include in the invitation in addition to the relevant information. Start off the invitation with a cute, rhyming poem, or something simple: "Please join us in showering [name of bride]..." The wording should express love and honor toward the bride.

2. Include the words "Lawn and Garden Bridal Shower." It's important to make known that the party has a lawn-and-garden theme.

3. Write out the full date of the party. Include the day of the week, full date and time.

4. Write the name of the location, indicating if it's at someone's house, a park or restaurant. Include the street address, city and state.
