How to Register on the PlayStation Store for a PSP

The PlayStation Store is an online hub for the Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable where games, videos, and add-on content can be purchased and downloaded. In order to get started with the PlayStation Store on your PSP, you first need to create a PlayStation Network account that will allow you to download any item from the PlayStation Store straight to your PSP.

      Power on your PSP and connect to a wireless access point.

      Navigate to the "PlayStation Network" tab on your PSP's Xross Media Bar. It is the last item all the way to the right.

      Select the "PlayStation Store" icon.

      Enter the required information when prompted. You will need to enter your country, language, and date of birth in order to access the PlayStation Store.

      Create a PlayStation Network account. If you are not automatically prompted to do so, click the "Create Account" button in the PlayStation Store.

      Enter your information. You will need to enter your email address, a password, and a security question and answer. When finished, you will have full access to the PlayStation Store on your PSP.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you already created a PlayStation Network account on your PS3 or computer, you can simply sign in with that information.

  • You are able to browse the PlayStation Store freely without a PlayStation Network account, but a PSN account is required to download content.
