How to Design & Print Epson Greeting Cards Online

Making a greeting card is as simple as going online.

When you want to create a great greeting card by yourself, but are not sure how to make one from scratch using a publishing or word-processing program, use the assistance of a printer manufacturer's website, like Epson. With the assistance of Epson's Creative Zone, you can choose from different greeting card templates for any occasion and personalize your greeting cards with pictures and your own words. Once you discover how simple it is to design and create your own Epson greeting cards, you will never need to purchase a card from the store again.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser and go to www.epson.com.

2. At the top of the page, click on "Learn & Create."

3. Scroll down to the bottom of Epson's Learn & Create page. Click on "View all craft projects." Doing this will lead you to the Epson Creative Zone Page.

4. Click on "Greeting Cards" in the right sidebar labeled, under the "Projects" header.

5. Browse the greeting card templates offered and click on the highlighted text to read more information about the template.

6. Download your favorite template. On the page that offers more information about a greeting card project, you will see a section on the left-hand side that says "Download Project." Click on "Win" if your computer's operating system is Windows, or click on "Mac" if you have an Apple computer.

   If the greeting card is a PDF file, simply print the card and fold the paper.

   If the card template is a word-processing document, choose the option to save it to your desktop or to open the template file right away.

7. Once you have the Epson greeting card template open in your word-processing program, add your own greetings and personal touches. To change the pre-made words in the template, highlight them with your mouse and click "Delete" on your keyboard. Then, type in the text you want.

8. Add extra design elements to the greeting card by adding your own photographs and clip art by clicking on "Insert" at the top of the page. In the "Insert" menu, click on "Picture" to add a photograph saved on your computer or on "Clip Art" to add a graphic from the word-processing program.

9. Print the card. After you finish designing the card, click on "File" at the top of the page, and then click on "Print."

Tips & Warnings

• Epson suggests using high-quality paper on which to print greeting cards.

• Not all greeting card templates are available for Apple computers.
