Instructions

    • 1

Find clear glass ornaments at a local craft store. Remove the toppers from the ornaments so you are left with just the glass ball base. Set the toppers aside for later.

    • 2

Drip a few drops of clear-drying glue into the opening of the glass ball. Press a finger on top of the opening and shake the ball so the glue splatters around the inside of it.

    • 3

Pour some glitter inside the ball. Press a finger on top of the ornament's opening and shake the ball so the glitter sticks to the glue. Pour out any excess glitter onto a sheet of newspaper. Set the ornament onto a clean piece of newspaper and let dry before continuing.

    • 4

Pour about a tablespoon of acrylic paint into the opening of the ornament. Turn the ball on its side and slowly turn it around and around so the paint begins to coat the inside of the ball. Let the paint make a pattern of lines, it's not necessary to coat a solid layer of paint onto the inside. Set on a sheet of newspaper and let dry.

    • 5

Place the topper back onto the top of the ornament. Secure with instant glue and let dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use glitter and paint in holiday colors such as red, green and gold.

  • Make sure not to get any instant glue on fingers.
