DIY Live Mouse Trap
Building a better mousetrap is a cliche, applying not just to mousetraps, but also inventions in general. Yet for those looking for a better mousetrap, they often look for a humane mousetrap, one that leaves the rodent alive, as opposed to snapping shut and breaking the little critter's neck. If you are looking for a do-it-yourself mousetrap to capture a rouge mouse who has invaded your abode, you probably have what you need to assemble a trap with minimal effort. Set your homemade mousetrap in the evening to capture the rodent while you sleep. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Select a tall kitchen or office trashcan made of plastic or metal, with interior walls, which are straight up and down. Do not use a wicker trashcan or one made of a material a mouse can easily climb up and out of once inside.
-
2
Empty the trashcan of any debris and plastic or paper liner.
-
-
3
Place the trashcan in a location where you believe the mouse may roam during the evening.
-
4
Lean the board against the rim of the trash can, creating a ramp up into the container. The board needs to be taller than the height of the trashcan.
-
5
Place smelly food in the bottom of the trashcan, such as pungent cheese or a cracker covered in peanut butter. During the evening, the mouse will climb up the ramp and jump into the can to get to the food, thus trapping him inside.
