How to Make Envelope Stickers With a PC
If you're looking to dress up your outgoing mail, whether it be bills, cards or pen pal letters, place a decorated address sticker on the envelope. Stickers may be customized with your return address and a little design to show off your personality. Making your own envelope stickers saves you money from expensive graphics costs and is far more personal than generic designs. Use your computer's Paint program, which comes installed, to design stickers to dress up your outgoing mail.
Instructions
-
-
1
Open Paint, pull down the "Image" menu and click "Attributes." Set your sticker size to 2.63 inches by 1 inch and click "OK." Pull down the "View" menu, click "Zoom" and select "Large Size." This increases your design space.
-
2
Click the "Text" tool, which looks like an "A" and select a paint color for the address words. Click inside the label box and select a font. For a fun and casual font, try something like Curlz, Forte or Perpetua, all of which are standard.
-
-
3
Type your name and address and any other information for the sticker.
-
4
Click the "Paintbrush" tool, select the small round brush head and a new paint color. Draw a design on the label, such as a paw print, smiley face, flower or sports ball.
-
5
Give your label a colored background by clicking a new paint color, clicking the "Paint Bucket" tool and clicking in the white space of the label, which fills with the color.
-
6
Click the "Selection" tool, which looks like a square made out of dotted lines. Draw an outline around the whole label. When you see dotted lines surrounding it, right-click the label and select "Copy."
-
7
Pull down the "Image" menu and select "Attributes." Change the page size to 8 1/2 by 11 inches.
-
8
Right-click the white space on the page and select "Paste." A copy of your label pastes on top of the original. Drag your cursor to the right to move it. Place it directly next to the original label. Right-click and select "Paste" again, then drag the new label into place next to the second one.
-
9
Right-click and select "Paste" again; this time, drag the label underneath the original one, forming a second row. Repeat this process until the entire page is filled with the envelope stickers.
-
10
Turn on your printer and load in sticker paper. Pull down the Paint "File" menu and select "Print." Choose your printer and nudge the "Number of copies" box up to the number of sheets of stickers to print. Click "Print."

Tips & Warnings
The standard address sticker label size is 2.63 inches by 1 inch, but you can make envelope labels to fit any size preferred. Just change the sticker size in the "Attributes" window and adjust your design accordingly.
Buy full sheets of sticker paper, available at office supply shops and craft stores, instead of the individually cut labels. This way, you're assured your labels will fit because you simply print the page and cut them out.
