1
Unfold a bandana until it is a square shape. Lay it on a flat surface with the patterned side facing down. Take one corner of the square and fold it up until it is aligned with the diagonal corner, forming a triangle.
-
2
Turn the triangle so that the top point is facing upward. Bring the point of the triangle down to the center of the bottom of the triangle. The bandana will now be in the shape of a trapezoid.

3
Fold the top line of the trapezoid down to the bottom of the shape. Repeat this process until the bandana is the width of the bracelet that you want. The width should be somewhere between one to two inches, depending on the size of your wrist.
-
4
Position the bandana bracelet so that it is the center is over the center of your wrist. Wrap the bracelet around your wrist twice, if your wrist is small enough to be doubled.
-
5
Tie the ends of the bandana bracelet together into a knot. You may have to use your one free hand and your teeth to pull it tight. If you have a friend nearby, ask for help tying the bracelet.
-
6
Tuck the loose ends under the edge of the bracelet, and use a small safety pin to secure each end. Bobby pins can also be used to secure the ends by sliding the bobby pins onto one edge of the bracelet.
