The One-Stop Career Center in DeLand is one of the state facilities charged with assisting Florida residents with unemployment filings and helping them find new jobs.

      Fill out an application to receive unemployment compensation by providing information like your name, address, phone number, whether you would like to receive your unemployment payments via checks mailed to your home or directly deposited into your bank account, the names of your recent employers, the dates you most recently worked, the reason you no longer are working and the name and phone number of your former supervisor. Sign the bottom of the application and hand the form along with your tax documents, pay stubs and driver's license to the DeLand One-Stop Career Center representative.

Fill out a weekly postcard mailed each week to your home by answering questions about whether you worked during the past week, whether you applied for at least two jobs during the past week and whether you earned any money.
