The Nintendo DS is a handheld video game system that plays many games. Because these devices are so small they can be prone to damage. That's why its important to always store and carry your DS in a case. If you don't have the money to buy a DS case, or would simply enjoy a small crafts project, you can make a case for your DS yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Clear out a microphone or other electronics box of its packaging. The dimensions of the Nintendo DS are 5.85 inches by 3.33 inches so any box that is this size or slightly larger should adequately hold a DS.

    • 2

Open the top or cover of the box and glue a strip of Velcro to it with your hobby glue. Wait for the glue to set.

    • 3

Glue another pad of Velcro to where you would like the top to connect and wait for the glue to set. Then connect the lid to the body of the box to see if the Velcro pads work.

    • 4

Place your DS in the box and close it. Customize the box by painting it any color you'd like. Glue plastic card holders inside the box to hold DS games.
