How to Use a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV Metal Detector

Metal detecting is a hobby enjoyed by many treasure hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. The prospect of stumbling upon something of value is what makes metal detection such an enjoyable pastime. The Bounty Hunter Tracker IV Metal Detector utilizes motion detection technology and is a good choice for finding that buried treasure. Some features include simplified function with only two operating knobs and automatic tuning and ground balancing. It will work in difficult conditions such as salt and black sand with no adjustments and no loss of sensitivity.

Instructions

1. Turn the metal detector on. Use the left knob. The metal detector is at its lowest sensitivity when first turned on and will remain silent until metal passes underneath.

2. Turn the knob toward the "high" position to increase the sensitivity for small buried objects. If it seems to be making a "chattering" noise, turn it down slightly.

3. Stand with the Bounty Hunter Tracking IV in your hand with your arm extended in front of you. Hold the detector so the search coil is about half an inch above the ground. Adjust your arm and grip until the coil is parallel to the ground.

4. Swing the coil gently side to side in front of you. Try to overlay each sweep as you move forward. Be careful to keep the unit the same distance from the ground through the entire sweeping motion. Most valuable finds will give off a repeatable tone.

• Use alkaline batteries for best performance.

• Don't test the metal detector in your house on the floor because it can damage the unit.
