Make free business cards and forms on your computer.

Whether you're just starting up a new business or trying to bring in more customers to your already established company, there's no need to spend big bucks on graphic designers to create your materials. Save money by making your own business cards and forms on your computer for free, taking advantage of your system's Paint program. Paint is a basic sketching and drawing software package included with your installation and by using it, you can create custom cards and forms within minutes, tailored to your organization and ready to use for recruiting new clients.

Instructions

  1. Business Cards

    • 1

Open Paint, click "Image" and select "Attributes." Change the dimensions to 3.5 inches by 2 inches and click "OK." Pull down the "View" menu, click "Zoom" and select "Large Size," which just increases your design space and gives you more room to see.

    • 2

Click the "Text" tool, which looks like an "A" on the "Tools" palette. Select a font and size for the business card lettering. Click onto the white space of the card and type your name, position, company, address, phone, email, website and any other information.

    • 3

Click the "Paintbrush" tool, select a slash mark brush head and a color from the "Color Picker" at the bottom of the screen and draw a design on the business card, such as your logo, initials or something abstract such as a swirl.

    • 4

Give your card a colored background (if you prefer) by clicking the "Paint Bucket" tool, selecting a new, lighter paint color from the "Color Picker" and clicking in the white space of the card, which fills with the color.

    Business Forms

    • 5

Open Paint, click "Image" and select "Attributes." Change the dimensions to 8.5 inches by 11 inches and click "OK."

    • 6

Click the "Text" tool, select a font and a large type size, and position your cursor at the top of the page. Type the word "Invoice," "Recommendation," "Bill of Lading" or other form title.

    • 7

Change font and a smaller type size, then add the rest of the information to the form, such as your company's name and address, executive team biographies or directions to your facility.

    • 8

Click the "Line" tool and draw horizontal lines down the middle of the form, giving you room to record items sold, procedures recommended or anything else you choose.
