How to Wire Sculpt Semi Precious Gemstones
When you are thinking of getting a sentimental gift for a loved one and cannot find anything in the stores, wired jewelry can be a thoughtful gift for any special occasion. You can hand out your wired jewelry at weddings, birthdays, Christmas or Easter. Making the wired jewelry requires many tools, such as wire cutters and hooks and some patience, but the thought of making something special for someone you care for can be worth the physical labor.

1
Choose the type of wire that you want to use. For wired jewelry, you can choose from wire, memory wire, and findings (such as headpins, eyepins or a metal chain). The memory wire is more flexible in comparison to general wire. (See Reference 1)
-
2
Use wire cutters to cut your chosen wire. Make a loop at the end of the wire with round-nosed pliers. (See References 2--3)
-
-
3
Thread your beads through the un-looped side of the wire, then trim the wire. Leave enough room on the wire for a finishing loop. (See References 2--3)
-
4
Add connector or jump rings. You can give some length as necessary to the chain. Slip the rings directly onto the loops you made in step 2. (See References 2--3)
-
5
Add the clasp or hook. Use the jump rings to attach each part of the clasp to the ends of the chain. Complete the wire necklace or bracelet by putting on your wrist or around your neck. (See References 2--3)
