How Do I Transfer My Florida RN License to Pennsylvania?

Provide evidence of your RN license to the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

One of the benefits of the nursing profession is the flexibility to use your skills anywhere in the United States. If you are currently licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Florida, you must apply for certification with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and provide confirmation of your Florida licensure.

Instructions

1. Obtain an Application for Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) form. (See Resources for a link to an electronic copy of the form.) The form is split into three sections.

2. Enter your personal, educational and vocational details into Form 1. Mail the form along with a check or money order in the amount of $100 to:

   P.O. Box 2649
   Harrisburg, PA 17105-2649

3. Send Form 2 to the educational institution that awarded your nursing degree. The director of the program must fill out Form 2 and send it directly to the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

4. Enter the details of your current Florida license into Form 3. Section B of Form 3 must be completed by the Florida Board of Nursing and then mailed directly to the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Mail Form 3 to the Florida Nursing Board, along with a cover letter detailing the submission requirements.
