The Brother LS-2125i sewing machine is a simple, 10-stitch sewing machine that's ideal for basic sewing needs. While it's a basic machine, it has 4-step buttonhole and multiple-stitch functions for all 10 different stitches. It has a blind hem stitch and an elastic stitch along with a straight, zigzag and satin stitch. It also auto adjusts the stitch length and width, depending on the type of stitch you are using.

Place the foot pedal on the ground and plug in the sewing machine. Place a spool of thread in the thread holder, the retractable stick at the right end of the machine, and pull out 5 to 6 inches of thread. Place a bobbin in the bobbin spinner and wind the thread around the bobbin tension disk going clockwise. The bobbin tension disk looks like a screw on the left hand side of the machine. Push the thread through the hole in the top of the bobbin from the inside and pull it through 2 to 3 inches. Hold the thread, turn on the sewing machine and push down on the foot pedal. The bobbin will stop spinning when it is full. Cut the thread on both ends and remove the bobbin from the bobbin spinner.

Raise the presser foot and place the needle in its highest position by turning the balance wheel. Open the shuttle cover by pulling it to the left. Lift up the lever and remove the bobbin case from the machine. Pull 4 inches of thread from the bobbin and place the bobbin in the bobbin case, winding the thread through the slot, to the left, and into the delivery eye. Pull back on the bobbin case's latch and place it back in the bobbin holder. Make sure the bobbin does not fall out of the case.

Turn the balance wheel to raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position. Run the spool's thread through the metal clasp next to the bobbin tension disk and down into the machine, under the tension dial and up through the thread take-up lever. Run the thread down to the needle and push the thread through the needle’s eye going away from you. Hold onto the upper thread and slowly lower the balance wheel until it catches the bobbin's thread. Pull both threads straight out away from you. Slide the shuttle cover back onto the machine.

Set your Brother LS-2125i sewing machine to the stitch type you want to use and place the fabric under the presser foot. Turn the presser foot lever down so it holds the fabric and press on the foot pedal to start sewing. Press down the reverse sewing lever for 1 to 2 inches at the beginning and ending of every stitch to hold them in place.
