How to Make a Key Chain Pocket Watch

Make a key chain pocket watch and keep your timepiece handy at all times. Your keys are important, and so is knowing what time it is. Many people don't wear a wristwatch anymore, but by hanging a pocket watch on a key chain, you'll always know the time.

Things You'll Need

• Small split ring, 14 or 16 mm
• Pocket watch
• Key ring
• Keys

Instructions

1. Find a pocket watch that you like. You can use a vintage pocket watch that has been handed down over time or buy a new pocket watch to hang on a key chain.

2. Take the small split ring, also known as a key ring, and open it at one end. Loop the tab on the pocket watch through the split ring opening until the watch is securely looped through and dangles from the ring.

3. Open the large key ring and thread the small split ring with the pocket watch on it through until the small split ring is securely looped through.

4. Add the keys to the key ring so the keys are positioned at the back of the pocket watch. Thread the keys on so they do not hit the pocket watch crystal and reduce wear and tear to the glass.
