The Brother 2600 sewing machine was designed to be versatile in its use for making garments, basic mending and craft projects. The sewing machine is equipped with an automatic bobbin winder. Even though the winder is automatic, setting up the winder and threading the bobbin is not. Threading the bobbin on a Brother 2600 sewing machine is not that difficult of a task once you learn how.

Instructions

      Turn on the sewing machine, and open the top cover. Set the bobbin on the bobbin shaft by matching up the groove on the bobbin with the spring located on the bobbin shaft.

      Adjust the supplemental spool pin located on the sewing machine to the "up" position by gently pulling it upward. Place a spool of thread on to the supplemental spool pin, and slide the spool cap onto the pin to secure it in place.

      Press the thread from the spool through the threading guide by holding one end of the thread in your right hand and the other end in your left and pressing it downward onto the treading guide. Press the thread counter clockwise around and under the pretension disk.

      Wind the loose end of the thread around the bobbin five times in a clockwise motion and insert the end of the bobbin thread into the bobbin winder seat. Cut the thread with the bobbin cutter by pulling the thread toward the right.

      Snap the bobbin holder into place by sliding it gently to the left until it clicks. Cut the bobbin thread loose, and remove the bobbin from the holder.
