DIY Valentine Card Holders
Valentine's Day can be an especially fun occasion when your child is able to create her own Valentine card holder. This easy, do-it-yourself craft can be made with materials that may already be in your home, such as paper plates and various decorative materials. Minimal supervision is required, especially for younger children, and the child is free to express her creativity and use her imagination while decorating her very own Valentine's Day card holder.

What to Do
-
1
Cut one plate in half. Decorate the back-side of the half-plate with any desired materials, using the glue, paint and markers.
-
2
Decorate the inside of the full plate and allow any glue or paint to dry before proceeding.
-
-
3
Place the plates together so that the inside of the half-plate is facing the inside of the full plate, creating a pocket for Valentines.
-
4
Punch holes around the rims of the plates while they are still placed together. Thread ribbon or yarn through the holes and knot when it has been laced around the entire plate. To complete the craft in even less time, staple the plates together instead.
-
5
Tie a loop out of ribbon or yarn and fasten it to the top of the card holder. Hang the holder from door knob, desk or other surface.
