How to Use Game Shark Codes on Pokemon Emerald EMU
"Pokemon Emerald," the 11th "Pokemon" game to be released in English-speaking territories, is an updated version of "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire." The game takes place in the same world as the earlier titles, but features a new plot and altered battle mechanics. These new elements mean that even "Pokemon" veterans may benefit from a few cheat codes. If you're emulating the game to save your Game Boy's batteries, you have the added benefit of access to GameShark cheat codes without having to purchase the device itself.

Tips & Warnings
Not all Game Boy Advance emulators fully support GameShark codes. If your emulator does not contain a "Cheat Codes" or "GameShark" option, download "Visual Boy Advance" or "No$GBA" from the site in Resources. These programs can boot your existing "Pokemon Emerald" save game, so there is no need to start over.
Emulating Game Boy Advance games is illegal if you do not own the original game cartridge.
