Cleaning Burned Oil Pots

Cleaning Burned Oil Pots thumbnail
Burnt oil can leave a black, scorched film on the bottom of a pot.

When oil burns inside pots and pans, it leaves a thin, black film that can stain the bottom of the pan. The oil stain is difficult to remove, requires lots of strong scrubbing and may require several cleaning treatments to remove most or all of the stain. For best results, clean an oil stain in a pot as soon as it happens. The longer it sits in the bottom of the pot, the harder removal will prove to be. Does this Spark an idea?
