How to Cleanse With Jojoba Oil
Evergreen jojoba trees are native to Mexico, California and Arizona. Natural jojoba oil is high in natural fatty acids and moisture, and dissolves the natural oil (sebum) found in cells that commonly cause pores on the skin to clog. Jojoba oil also helps clean the scalp, especially scalp that is flaking or itchy, and the oil is very conditioning as well. There are a few ways to cleanse your skin, hair and scalp with jojoba oil. Moisten a clean cotton ball with several drops of jojoba oil and wipe in circular motions over a clean face.

Take a clean washcloth and dampen it with very warm water. Hold the washcloth over your face until it cools to room temperature, usually around 15 to 20 minutes. This opens the pores and allows greater penetration of the jojoba oil.

Remove the washcloth and use clean fingertips to massage your face, gently working the jojoba oil into the pores.

Rinse the washcloth in very warm water again and place it back on your face for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Rinse the washcloth in cold water and wipe the remaining jojoba oil off of your face. Rinse your face with cold water to close the pores and pat dry with a clean towel.
Hair and Scalp

Apply a small amount of jojoba oil to your fingertips and work through your hair at the roots.

Massage the oil through your scalp, working in gentle circles with the pads of your fingertips.

Rinse with warm water. Follow with a gentle daily shampoo.

Apply jojoba oil to your hair and work through the hair evenly. Leave the oil in for two to three minutes.

Rinse your hair with cool water to close your hair cuticles.
