1
Remove your makeup when it's not needed. Going to bed at night with your makeup on will clog your pores and prevent them from breathing properly. Use a facial cleanser that is made specifically for your skin type and rinse it away with cool water to tighten your pores.
-
2
Drink plenty of water. The human body consists mainly of water and needs proper hydration to look its best. Carry a refillable water bottle with you and sip water at regular intervals throughout the day.

3
Quit your smoking habit. Cigarettes are bad for more than just your lungs. Smoking causes damage by decreasing the amount of oxygen and nutrients that reach the outermost layer of skin. It also damages the collagen and elastin that makes up the skin, reduces the body's supply of vitamin A, and hinders how the body absorbs vitamin C. This results in skin that is dry and prone to deep wrinkling.

4
Protect your skin from the sun. According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) the ultra violet (UV) protection that comes from sunscreens prevents photo-aging and skin cancer. When purchasing makeup, foundation and moisturizer, buy products that have sunscreen as a part of their formula. Apply the sunscreen at least 15 to 30 minutes before prolonged exposure to the sun.

5
Bathe with care. Long hot showers and lingering in the bathtub can dry out your skin. Take short, efficient showers instead in warm water. Use gentle, moisturizing soaps and shower gels to avoid stripping the skin of oil. Always moisturize your skin after patting your skin dry with a towel.
-
6
Reduce your stress levels. Excessive stress will make your skin more susceptible to acne, blemishes, allergens and breakouts. Take steps to add more moments of relaxation in your life, take a vacation, read a book or participate in an activity that brings you joy. Take a deep breath and walk away from intense situations, or ask for help if needed.

7
Remove dead skin cells off the surface of your skin. The act of exfoliating the skin on both your body and face not only removes dead cells but also the action of applying an exfoliating product or using an exfoliating mitt or loofah improves circulation that results in smooth, glowing skin.
