How to Make a No Sew Cat in the Hat
"The Cat in the Hat" is a children's book, written by Dr. Seuss, that has as its main character a tall, mischievous cat. The cat performs tricks and causes chaos for two children on a rainy afternoon. This black and white cat wears a red- and white-striped hat, red bow tie and white gloves. Both adults and children can create a no-sew Cat in the Hat costume for dress-up parties and Halloween.

2
Paint your face white with white face paint. Wait for it to dry. Draw whiskers on your cheeks with a black eyeliner pencil.

3
Put on a black leotard and black tights. You can also choose to wear black pants and a black shirt. The important thing is that you are wearing all black.

4
Cut another long strip of fabric that fits around your neck and leaves about 12 inches extra. Tie the strip of fabric into a bow around your neck. Leave it loose enough to breathe comfortably.

5
Put on white gloves and pick up your blue umbrella to complete the outfit.
