  • Gloves
  • Bleach
  • Sponge
  • Hose
  • 1/2 cup borax
  • Cleaning brush
  • 1 cup baking soda

Instructions

  1. Cleaning an Empty Wading Pool

      Fill a bucket with hot water and 1 cup of bleach per gallon of water.

      Put on gloves. Dip a sponge in the bleach solution and scrub the inside and outside of the pool.

      Use a hose to rinse the pool.

    Cleaning a Full Wading Pool

      Place 1/4 cup of borax on a paper plate. Dip a cleaning brush in water, and then dip the brush in the borax.

      Place the brush in the water, and scrub the walls of the wading pool. Clean the pools walls and bottom in this manner after the last use of the day to keep algae and slime from forming.

      Add 1 cup of baking soda to the pool water. Allow the baking soda to remain in the water overnight.
