How to Remove a Sliding Glass Window
Sliding glass windows are classy and can be convenient. They can provide good air circulation to any room. The one difficulty with sliding glass windows on the second floor is that they can be an aggravation to clean. Knowing how to remove a sliding glass window can aid in cleaning them easily. Scan the entire window for security devices installed in the track that may be used to keep the window in place. They usually look like a button or clip and can be removed easily with your fingers.

Loosen any screws near the side rails of the window close to the top edges, using a flat-head screwdriver. The screws are used as a security measure to prevent the sliding panels from popping open.

Remove the small rubber piece of material in the center of the track along the top of the window. It's where the sliding and stationary panels overlap when the window is closed. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the piece out of place.

Unlock the window.

Slide the window 3/4 of the way open.

Grab the side of the glass window with both hands and lift it into the top track

Lift the bottom of the sliding glass window out over the bottom track and pull it down out of the top track to remove it.
