Instructions

    • 1

Describe your services and products. Clearly explain the types of computer services or products that you intend to offer. Be thorough and specific so the readers of your business plan know exactly what to expect from your business. For example, if you plan to offer repair services detail each type of repair you will offer. If you plan to sell new computers tell which brands you will carry and include any supplementary items such as cables or mouses.

    • 2

Explain the market/needs analysis. This section of the business plan explains why your computer business is needed and the clientele you will serve. Is your business needed because there are no other computer stores in the area? Or is it needed to provide better services and prices than existing shops? Also include the demographics of your target audience and why they would shop at your store or use your services.

    • 3

Give an overview of the business organization and management. Use flow charts to show the hierarchy of employees. Include a job title and description for each person. You may also want to include resumes and certifications of computer technicians or other employees with specific training and experience.

    • 4

Describe your strategy and implementation summary. This is a description of your marketing and advertising plan and how it will be implemented. Break down each step of your marketing plan by explaining what types of advertising you will use (fliers, newspaper ads, brochures etc.), who will create them and when they will be implemented.

    • 5

Create your financial plan. The financial plan is crucial to a successful business, especially if you plan to sell retail products. Write exactly how much funding you need to start your business (include product costs, building rental, employee wages etc...) and where you will get the money. Tell what loans or grants you will apply for, what banks you will approach and when. Also include an annual budget that forecasts needs and expenses.

    • 6

Write the executive summary. The executive summary is a brief description of the entire business plan. It is generally one page and includes the mission statement and vision. Include the main points of the business plan so a reader will have a basic understanding of the business plan by reading just the executive summary.

    • 7

Create an appendix. Put all charts, graphs and supporting documents in a neatly organized appendix.
