How to Remove a Chevy 4.8L Water Pump
The 4.8L Chevrolet engine is found most commonly in Chevrolet Silverado pickups. These engines are part of the LS line of engines, which is a variation on the popular small-block Chevy V8. The water pump on these engines circulates coolant between the engine and the radiator, When the water pump goes out, the coolant won't circulate and can overheat, potentially damaging the engine. To fix the problem, the water pump should be removed and replaced with a new one, but first, it has to be taken out.
