Locate a company that prints both letterhead and envelopes on the Internet. Companies such as Vistaprint and Staples allow you to design and print both letterhead and envelopes. It is important to find a company that will allow you to design both so that you can ensure that they are uniform.

Design your letterhead. Some letterhead contain images and others use a special font for the text. How you design your letterhead, however, is a matter of personal preference. The letterhead should contain the name of the business, the business address, the business phone number, and any email or website addresses that are used. You can also use one of the company's templates or designs if you choose. Design your letterhead first so that you can modify it for use with your envelopes.

    • 3

Create your business envelopes. Modify your letterhead to fit in the upper left portion of the envelope. If you have an image that you used in your letterhead, then you should use it as part of the return address of your envelope. Use the same text font on the envelope that you use in your letterhead. If you used a template or design for the letterhead, then use the same template or design for the envelope. Use the same type of paper for your envelopes that you chose for your letterhead.

Enter your billing information and complete your purchase. If this is your first time ordering from this particular printing company, you will have to create an account through the website. Once you have entered your shipping information, your billing information and your desired quantities, submit your purchase to complete the transaction.

Tips & Warnings

  • When choosing an envelope, remember that #10 is the standard size and will fit your new letterhead.

  • Many printing companies will require you to purchase 250 to 500 pieces of letterhead or envelopes at a minimum.
