Tips & Warnings
Attaching the fish finder transducer to the base of the trolling motor makes sure the fish finder is always looking directly at the spot being fished.
Purchase rods of different lengths. Different length rods will ensure fewer line tangles and spread lures over a wider area, helping to catch more fish.
Crappie have very soft mouths and need to be landed with a net. Long-handled nets allow landing a fish when standing at any position in the boat.
Different localities allow use of different numbers of rods per fisherman. Take care to fully understand the game laws of the area being fished.
