1
Measure an area in your bathroom designated for laundry, and create a "laundry room" by installing a privacy wall. The wall provides you with two different areas--one for laundry and one for the bathroom. Hire a contractor to build your wall. Typically, this should not take more than a day. Paint the wall yourself to save money. You are installing a separation wall, so no door is needed.

2
Paint the new wall on both sides--inside where the machines are located and outside facing the rest of your bathroom.

3
Consider purchasing a stackable washer and dryer set if your bathroom is not very large; this maximizes the efficiency of the space. A stackable washer and dryer will leave more space for organizing and folding laundry.

4
Place the vertical cabinet in your "laundry room." This creates storage for laundry supplies and, possibly, your household cleaning products. On the bathroom side of the wall, attach the shelves to the wall using your drill and screws. This is a place for knickknacks as well as towels and other bath supplies.

5
Decide if you wish to update the lighting in the bathroom. If you wish to do so, purchase and install a new light fixture. Purchase and install a fluorescent light fixture that can screw directly into the wall in your "laundry room" and plug into an existing electrical outlet. This provides separate lighting on each side of the bathroom-laundry room combination.
