How to Get the Frizzy Out of Weave Hair

Weave hair has a tendency to become dry, frizzy and brittle. This is because, although it is sewn into the hair, it doesn't receive the natural oils or nutrients from the root of your natural hair. It is important to care for your weave much as you would care for your natural hair. It is easier to prevent frizz in weave hair than to get rid of it after it occurs.

Wash your scalp and your weave hair every 7 to 14 days. Use gentle products that won't strip the hair of moisture.

Use conditioner if your weave gets really dry. Wash as normal and then apply a thick layer of the conditioner. Leave for at least five minutes and then rinse out thoroughly.

Apply a smoothing serum to the weave after washing. Then run straighteners through it to combat any frizz.

Reduce the amount of frizz in your weave by always using styling instruments like dryers or straighteners on low heat. If you have the heat too high it will damage, burn and split your weave. This damage cannot be undone until you have your weave replaced at the hairdresser.
